Lemon Custard with Stroopwafel Pie Crust

 Lemon Custard Pie

Ingredients

  1. 1 pouch DWC    No Bake DWC Stroopwaffle Pie Crust regular or gluten-free-organic
  2. ½ stick margarine
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 1 cup milk
  5. ½ cup water
  6. 3 tbs flour
  7. Juice and rind of 1 lemon
  8. 3 egg yolks

 

Merengue

Ingredients

    1. 3 egg whites
    2. 1/3 cup sugar
    3. ¼ tsp. cream of tartar

 

 Directions

  1. Prepare DWC No Bake Stroopwafel Pie Crust like described on package regular or gluten-free/organic
  2. Cream margarine with 1 cup sugar.
  3. Add milk, water, rind, juice, flour and egg yolks.
  4. Cook in a double boiler of heavy pan until thick, stirring occasionally
  5. Pour into DWC No Bake Stroopwafel Pie Crust regular or gluten free
  6. Beat egg whites with 1/3 cup sugar and cream of tartar.
  7. Spread meringue on pie and brown in hot oven
  8. Cool, eat and Enjoy!
