Caramel Pecan Cream Cheese Pie by TheJennyWren

Pie is a holiday staple, and variations of pecan pie are in-demand during the fall and winter season.

This caramel pecan cream cheese pie comes from our friend TheJennyWren. It's a twist on classic pecan pie that’s not to be missed. It’s creamy, crunchy, and filled to the brim with flavor.

How to Make Caramel Pecan Cream Cheese Pie

Assembly: 15 minutes

Baking Time: 40 min

Chill Time:  4 + hours

Ingredients

  • Caramel pecan cream cheese pie
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs (divided)
  • 1 Caramel ice cream topping (I use Torani Puremade Sauce, which uses no artificial flavours or preservatives, but any caramel drizzle will do!)

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Then add sugar and  eggs.
  3. Pour the combined mixture into an unbaked pie shell.
  4. Add chopped pecans on top.
  5. Beat 2 more eggs and add Caramel topping (saving 1/4 cup for top of pie)
  6. Pour the egg and caramel mixture over pecans.
  7. Place pie in the oven. Bake at 350 for 40 min or until the edges are firm and the middle is mostly set (it will firm up a little bit while cooling, so don’t worry if it’s jiggling slightly).
  8. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours.
  9. Mix 2 cups No-Bake Stroopwafel Pie Crust and 8 tbsp butter.
  10. Add crumbs to top of pie and garnish with saved Caramel topping.

What Else Tastes Good With This Recipe?

This cheesecake is best served with a cup of coffee (stroopwafel coffee is our recommendation). You could also play around with what drizzle goes on top. Chocolate and hazelnut are popular alternatives and additions to the caramel.

Can I Use No-Bake Stroopwafel Pie Crust Instead of Regular Pie Crust?

Absolutely. While this is a no-bake pie crust, that simply means you don’t have to bake it. It can still be baked.

If you use the No-Bake Stroopwafel Pie Crust you may not want to sprinkle the crust on top of the pie as well. It’s up to you and your palette, but the crust is absolutely delicious with the pecan cream cheese filling and caramel drizzle.

Can I Make This Pie In Advance?

This pie can be refrigerated for up to three days, so you can absolutely make this a day or two before your event or gathering.

Can I Freeze Caramel Pecan Cream Cheese Pie?

Yes! This pie can be frozen for up to two months. Just make sure you’re storing it in an airtight container.
