Lemon Custard Pie
- 1 pouch DWC No Bake DWC Stroopwaffle Pie Crust regular or gluten-free-organic
- ½ stick margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup water
- 3 tbs flour
- Juice and rind of 1 lemon
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 egg whites
- 1/3 cup sugar
- ¼ tsp. cream of tartar
- Prepare DWC No Bake Stroopwafel Pie Crust like described on package regular or gluten-free/organic
- Cream margarine with 1 cup sugar.
- Add milk, water, rind, juice, flour and egg yolks.
- Cook in a double boiler of heavy pan until thick, stirring occasionally
- Pour into DWC No Bake Stroopwafel Pie Crust regular or gluten free
- Beat egg whites with 1/3 cup sugar and cream of tartar.
- Spread meringue on pie and brown in hot oven
- Cool, eat and Enjoy!
