S’mores are delicious. So delicious that we’ve already discussed four ways to celebrate national s’mores day with stroopwafels.
But sometimes you don’t want to build a fire or smell like smoke. Sometimes it’s raining. Sometimes you just want to bust out the kitchen torch.
We get it. And that’s why we’re sharing TheJennyWren’s recipe for indoor s’mores—plus a few extra tips of our own!
This is as easy as making a traditional s’more, but maybe even a little more fun. Here’s how it works.
Making Indoor S’mores
Ingredients
- 2 Dutch Waffle Company Stroopwafels
- 1 scoop Nutella
- 1 scoop marshmallow cream
Instructions
- Set two stroopwafel cookies side by side.
- Spread one stroopwafel cookie with nutella.
- Spread the second stroopwafel cookie with marshmallow cream.
- Use a kitchen torch to brown the marshmallow cream.
- Press your stroopwafel cookies together for the ultimate indoor s’more!
Don’t have a Kitchen Torch? You Can Still Make Indoor S’mores!
Kitchen torches sound fancy, but they’re actually a pretty accessible kitchen tool. There are many varieties of kitchen torches on Amazon.
However, you can still make indoor s’mores without a kitchen torch. You’ll simply swap marshmallow cream for marshmallow fluff, then broil that fluff in the oven!
How to Broil Marshmallow Fluff
Follow the steps of this recipe to brown marshmallow fluff in the oven.
“Place the marshmallow fluff on a baking sheet and spread it as thin and as even as you can with a spatula (this helps toast the maximum amount of fluff).Hand using spatula to spread marshmallow fluff on to sheet pan.
Turn your oven on broil and place the sheet in the oven for about 2-5 minutes depending on how hot your oven is and how much you want it toasted. (Keep an eye on it and watch until it gets a dark golden brown color, then take it out.)”
Try S’more Variations!
Add Berries
Adding blueberries to your s’mores can cut through some of the sweetness and provide a bit of a tart flavor. Slices strawberries and blackberries are our favorite additions to s’mores.
Use Chocolate Bars Instead of Nutella & Play with Flavors!
You can stick to a more classic version of the s’more by replacing the nutella with a standard chocolate bar. We also advocate for trying different kinds of chocolate with your s’more!
If you’re having guests over, you can make the s’more experience super customizable by having almond chocolate, raspberry chocolate, salted chocolate, and other varieties available for your guests to mix and match.
